Cops '99 Percent Sure' on ID of Body Pulled From River

Dental records must be checked to confirm the identity of the man pulled from the river Saturday.

The police say they are “99 percent sure” in identifying the body found floating in the Des Plaines River Saturday and believe he is the same man who was seen leaping from the Cass Street bridge 10 days ago.

While the cops figure they know who they have, they are still awaiting confirmation through dental records.

The body was taken from the water at the Railroad Street boat launch south of Interstate 80 on the river’s west bank.
