Drunken Driver At Reckless Speeds Arrested By Joliet Police: Cops
While speaking to Joliet police, officers say Jose Abonce-Aguilera showed behaviors consistent with alcohol impairment.

JOLIET, IL — A 33-year-old Joliet man who was driving his car more than 35 mph over the posted speed limit without a driver's license was taken to the Will County Jail on felony charges of aggravated DUI following an overnight traffic stop on the east side, Joliet police arrest logs show.
The arrest of Jose Abonce-Aguilera, who comes from the 500 block of Eastern Avenue, took place around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led to the arrest:

- Officers stopped the Ford Explorer near Cass Street and Fairbanks Avenue for speeding. Abonce-Aguilera, the driver, exhibited behaviors consistent with alcohol impairment.
- Abonce-Aguilera completed field sobriety tests and was placed into custody without incident and he did not possess a driver’s license. Abonce-Aguilera was cited for speeding more than 35 mph over the speed limit and having no valid driver’s license. His SUV was towed from the scene.
- Will County Jail logs show that bail for the Eastern Avenue resident was put at $5,000. He walked out of the jail around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday after posting the necessary $500 to regain his freedom.
