Felony Arrest At Joliet Walmart Leads To Violent Behavior: JPD
Kahdeem Weins was observed removing over $100 worth of merchandise from its packaging and concealing the items in his pants, police said.

JOLIET, IL — An 18-year-old from the 300 block of Union Street is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Kahdeem Weins attacked one of their officers, kicking them in the leg, after being arrested at the Walmart store at 2424 W. Jefferson St.
The Easter Sunday incident happened around 1:45 p.m. Now, Weins is in county detention facing charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer, retail theft, plus his three active warrants.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the following events took place at the Walmart store:

- Officers learned that Weins was seen removing over $100 worth of merchandise from its packaging and concealing the items in his pants.
- Weins was placed into custody without incident. Weins was also wanted for the following arrest warrants: Cook County for possession of fraudulent ID, Will County for burglary and DuPage County for family offenses.
- While being placed in the back of a squad car, Weins kicked a Joliet officer in the leg. Weins was then transported to the Joliet Police Department for processing and then transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
