Fundraiser Launched for Family of Joliet Man Killed in Accident

Friend have started an online fundraiser for the family of a Joliet man killed Friday in an accident at CenterPoint Intermodal Center.
Jeremy Hughes, 22, died in what officials called a work-related mishap at the intermodal center.

“We lost our beloved Jeremy in a tragic accident,” organizers said on a GoFundMe page established to help Hughes’ family with funeral expenses.
“He was loved by so many people and he will be greatly missed,” organizers added, calling Hughes a “selfless person, always looking for ways to make others happy.”

As of Tuesday, $3,500 had been donated.
