GoFundMe: 'There Is Nothing Left Of The House'
Leah Genens seeks donations for her aunt Bonnie and uncle Randy to help them get through this horrible tragedy and find peace of mind.

JOLIET, IL — A relative of the couple whose house was destroyed Sunday afternoon during an explosion on Joliet's East Washington Street has launched a GoFundMe campaign on their behalf. The Randy and Bonnie Relief Fund aims to raise $50,000.
In less than 24 hours, the GoFundMe had raised $1,360 thanks to 25 donations.
"Randy and Bonnie (Yvonne) Hedden have lived in their home on east Washington Street in Joliet for 52 years. On Sunday August 16, 2020, they were outside gardening when their entire house exploded!! The blast took both of them with it causing serious injuries to both," the GoFundMe states.

The couple both remain in the hospital, according to their niece who set up the GoFundMe.
"They have not only lost the house but also all of their possessions, 6 pet cats, photographs, keepsakes, a lifetime of memories, a place to live and a place to feel safe."
