Gun Disturbance At Business On Ward Ave. Leads To Arrest: JPD
Rory Robinson, age 41, eventually fled the area in a Chrysler sedan before Joliet police say officers arrived on the scene.

JOLIET, IL — A 41-year-old Rowell Avenue resident is now in the Will County Jail following a gun incident that involved an irate Rory Robinson banging on the business doors and pulling out a gun after the employees told Robinson to go away, he was not welcome, according to Joliet police reports.
Now, Robinson is staying in the Will County Jail where he's charged with unlawful use of weapon by felon, possession of gun with no FOID, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, aggravated unlawful use of weapon, criminal trespass, unlawful possession of gun and ammunition.
Joliet police spokesman Olin Torkelson said the following events led to Saturday's arrest:

- At 12:01 p.m., officers learned that Robinson became upset while at the business in the 400 block of Ward Avenue, arguing with employees, pounding on the business doors and walls and displaying a gun.
- Employees told Robinson to leave, to which he initially refused. Robinson eventually drove off in a Chrysler sedan before officers arrived on the scene, but they pulled Robinson over back at his apartment in the 1900 block of Rowell Avenue.
- A loaded handgun was recovered during the investigation.
- Robinson was taken to the Joliet Police Department for booking procedures, where he indicated his involvement in the disturbance.
