Haunted Trails Sued By Customer From Missouri
Ashley Brouk's lawsuit stems from her visit to Haunted Trails on Sept. 23, 2017.

JOLIET, IL - Every year, tens of thousands of people patronize Joliet's Haunted Trails Family Entertainment Center on Broadway Street, but now the popular business finds itself the defendant in a civil lawsuit. The suit was filed by Ashley Brouk, a resident of Farmington, Missouri. She has retained a law firm to sue Haunted Trails as a result of her experience on Sept. 29, 2017 while riding "The Bone Shaker."
"Plaintiff Ashley Brouk was riding in the car of 'The Bone Shaker' a tea cup mechanical amusement ride when she was thrown out of the tea cup car and was hit by another tea cup car," states the Disparti Law Group. "Ashley Brouk's stepfather yelled to the operator to turn off the ride after ... Ashley Brouk was thrown out of the tea cup car, but the operator refused to do so, causing plaintiff .... to be further thrown around the ride."
The civil lawsuit filed last week at the Will County Courthouse states that Haunted Trails "had a duty of reasonable care to avoid causing injuries to the person of others lawfully on their premises."
