Joliet Police Called By Gas Station, Arrest Made At Burger King Restaurant, Dog Sent To Animal Control
The dog was turned over to Joliet Township Animal Control, Joliet police announced.

JOLIET, IL — A senior citizen from Kankakee was arrested over the weekend on Joliet's east side and his dog was taken away from him at the time of his Joliet police arrest.
At the Joliet Police Department, the man was identified as Emmett Ezell. He was charged with obstructing identification and disorderly conduct and issued a city ordinance citation for dog running at large. Ezell was processed and released on a notice to appear in court.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 2:11 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to the 76 Gas Station at 710 E. Cass St. for a disturbance.

A store employee reported that a man entered the business with an unleashed German shepherd and became upset, yelling insults at staff.
"It is alleged that the male then knocked over a merchandise shelf, causing damage, before leaving the store with the dog," English informed Joliet Patch.

He said the officers were provided with a description of the
man. Officers located the man and dog in the parking lot of Burger King, 400 E. Cass St.
"The male refused to identify himself despite multiple commands and was taken into custody," English pointed out.
Eventually, the dog was turned over to Joliet Township Animal Control.
