Woman Wanted In Connection With Fatal Crest Hill Stabbing
Police are seeking the public's help locating Taja Davis, 22 of Chicago, in connection with the death of Jakkar Green-Hosey.

CREST HILL, IL — Officials have identified the man who was found dead Friday morning at the Crest Hill Inn on Plainfield Road and are asking the public for information in connection with the death. Police are also looking to locate a 22-year-old Chicago woman in connection with the stabbing, according to police.
Jakkar Green-Hosey, 30 of Joliet, was pronounced dead at 12 p.m. and was the victim of a single stab wound, according to a news release from the Will County Coroner's Office released Monday.
When police were called to the motel around 9 a.m., they discovered Green-Hosey was dead and showed signs of being injured, according to Crest Hill Police Chief Ed Clark.

Crest Hill Police are seeking information on the whereabouts on Taja A. Davis, whose last known address was 1515 E. 72nd Street, Chicago, in connection with Green-Hosey's death. Davis is a 22-year-old black woman who is 5 feet tall and 135 pounds, police said.
Davis and Green-Hosey were arrested together a year ago and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance in connection with allegations of dealing cocaine.

Davis was also charged with three counts of aggravated battery in March 2019 amid accusations she stabbed a man in a car on Larkin Avenue. Will County court records show she pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated battery in exchange for a 41-day jail sentence and 24 months of probation. In June, her probation was revoked, and she was re-sentenced to 180 days in jail, 3o months probation and 200 hours of community service, with credit for time already served.
The Crest Hill Inn is located at 2109 Plainfield Road, which is along Route 30.
The Will-Grundy Major Crimes Task Force continues to investigate the slaying. The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date pending autopsy, police and toxicological reports, according to the Coroner's Officer.
