NuMark Credit Union Gives Away iPod Nano to Lucky Rockdale Elementary School Saver

Joliet IL, June 2015 – NuMark Credit Union gave away an Apple iPod Nano to Rockdale Elementary School student, Sara Link. Sara won the iPod during their recent Bank at School savings contest that took place at the school.

Bank at School is a fun and convenient way for students to save their money right at school. Bank at School is held every other Thursday during the school year. A NuMark Credit Union staff member supervises the Bank at School program. Student tellers assist student depositors by counting money, completing deposit slips and creating receipts. Students are rewarded with a prize every time they deposit five dollars or more into their Bank at School savings account. The contest began in January and ended on the last Bank at School day of school year. Each deposit over five dollars qualified students to enter the iPod Nano contest.

“Learning how to save your money at an early age is so important,” says Aaron Heldt, Bank at School Coordinator. “It is important to make saving fun for the kids and we are grateful we can do contests and give away prizes such as iPods”

The Bank at School Program, with support from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office, was created to promote a healthier savings habit for youth.
