Barbara J. Regis
Barbara J. (Scherwha) Regis passed away on July 4, 2023, at Solstice Health Care. Barbara, a lifelong resident of Joliet, was born January 27, 1940. She was a dedicated and loyal wife and mother who enjoyed music throughout her life, participating in many church music programs as a vocalist and keyboardist.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rick Regis of Joliet; three sons, Anton (Maureen) Regis of Tinley Park, IL, Joseph (Kate) Regis of Braidwood, IL, and Christopher (JoAnne) Regis of Bartlett, IL; one daughter, Rebecca (David) Stroh of Shorewood, IL; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anne Scherwha; one brother, Joseph; and nephew, Charles.

Funeral Services for Barbara J. Regis will be held at 10:15 a.m., on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, to St. Paul the Apostle Church, 18 N. Woodlawn, Joliet, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
