Born in Mykonos, Greece in 1936, he embarked on a journey over several continents, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Venturing to the United States, he leveraged his skills as a master craftsman, infusing every creation with precision, artistry, and an incredible attention to detail. Yet, his greatest masterpiece was the 53-year marriage he shared with his beloved wife, Irene, whose love and support were the guiding star of his life.

Demetrios was a testament to hard work and dedication not just extraordinary works of art but also a life rich in memories and profound connections. His legacy lives on through the hearts he touched along the way and the intricate pieces he created.

In his 87 years, Demetrios left an enduring impression of passion, commitment, and love. As we celebrate his life that illuminated our world with his remarkable talents and the warmth of his heart. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church.

A visitation for Demetrios "Jim" Pouloudis will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 102 N. Broadway, Joliet, 60435, at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
