Joyce Elaine (nee Cepiel) Mettille, age 56, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born on January 24, 1966, to Janice and the late Joseph Cepiel.
She was born and raised in Morris, IL, and attended Morris Community High School from 1980 to 1984. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri State University from 1984 to 1988. She lived for 4 years in Plymouth, MA, and returned to Morris to raise her family.

Joyce was the business owner of GIS Benefits. She founded GIS Benefits and the Morris Warriors with her husband, Mark. She was a member of Morris Country Club. She enjoyed traveling, “entertaining” with a good glass of red wine, and baking – especially sugar cookies and kringla at Christmas time. She was a devoted football mom, dance mom, and coach’s wife.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Mark Mettille; daughter, Lauren (Jeff) Markle of Fitchburg, WI; son, Michael Mettille of Dallas, TX; her mother, Janice Cepiel of Morris, IL; her in-laws, Larry (Dorothy) Mettille of Seneca, IL; brother-in-law, Todd (Sarah) Mettille of Morris, IL; and her sister-in-law, Rita (Juergen) Moehler of Dundee, IL. Many aunts and uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.

She is preceded by her father, Joseph Cepiel; and her brother, Mark Cepiel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Operation St. Nick and Lightways Hospice would be appreciated.
A Memorial Visitation for Joyce Elaine Mettille will be held Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris. Inurnment will be at a later date at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris.
