Obituary: Keith Allen Kueteman

Keith Allen Kueteman, of Seneca, IL, passed away peacefully, at the age of 58, on Friday, June 30, 2023.

Keith Allen Kueteman, of Seneca, IL, passed away peacefully, at the age of 58, on Friday, June 30, 2023, at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Keith was born on July 16, 1964, in Ottawa, IL, the son of the late James F. Kueteman and Mary Ann (nee McLean) Savage.

Born in Ottawa and raised in Sheridan, he was a graduate of Serena High School with the class of 1982. After high school, he served with the United States Army. While he was enlisted, he earned an Associate’s Degree from the National Education Center in San Antonio, TX. He was employed by Exelon Dresden Generating Station, retiring in 2021.

Keith enjoyed gardening and beekeeping. He appreciated watching a great Western, made better if John Wayne was in the cast. His sense of humor and quick wit was matched by none. He cherished the time and memories he shared with his family, especially the moments he had with his grandchildren.

Keith is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Patricia L. (nee Peterson) Kueteman; loving children, Joshua Silas (Brittin) Kueteman, Lacey Lynn (Jacob) DeBolt, Kristi Nicole Kueteman, and Jacob Hans Kueteman; adoring grandchildren, Cail and Feren Kueteman, Noah, Luke, and Benjamin DeBolt, and Conner Pink; sister, Dee Kueteman; brother, Jeff (Jennifer) Kueteman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his parents and brother, James W. Kueteman.

Memorial Visitation for Keith will be Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Helmar Lutheran Church, 11935 Lisbon Road, Newark, IL 60541. As it was Keith’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded.
