Miriam Hersonsky

Age 83, of Joliet, IL and formerly of Israel, died Saturday morning, June 24, 2023.

Miriam was born March 19, 1940 to the late Rivka and Elijah Weidberg in Israel where she lived most of her life, until relocating to the United States with her husband several years ago.

A retired director of social services back home in Israel, Miriam, a very thoughtful and gracious woman, ensured those in advanced age were well taken care of.

She is survived by her husband, Rafael Itzhak Hersonsky; sons, Saar (Shira) Hersonsky and Dr. Tamir (Kasi) Hersonsky; grandchildren, Adam and Emma Hersonsky; Rafaela Hersonsky and Chloe Kelly. Her siblings and other family in Israel also survive.

Miriam is preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services for Miriam Hersonsky were held privately. Interment followed at Mt. Moriah Cemetery located at Clement Street and Curtis Avenue in Joliet.
