Officers approached Love and requested that he leave, to which he refused. Love then ignored multiple further commands by the officers to leave. He was then placed into custody without incident.
On May 16, Joliet Patch reported that Kenneth Love and his brother Thomas Love, the subjects of multiple Joliet Patch crime stories this year, were arrested again, early Tuesday morning, after one of the brothers grabbed a Thorntons gas station employee by the throat during the theft of four cans of beer, according to Joliet police.
