The "friend," a Joliet man, was arrested as well after he cursed and threatened the residents who called the cops, police said.

A Rockdale man wielding a 13-inch knife chased his “friend” down a Joliet Street, then punched a cop while he was being arrested, police said.
The friend, 43-year-old Dennis Doll of Joliet, was arrested as well after he allegedly cursed and threatened the residents who called the cops on his buddy, Jacob Lopez, 20.
The two residents reportedly called the police after Lopez and Doll fought on East Cass Street shortly before 9 p.m. Friday. The fight ended with Lopez brandishing a 13-inch knife and pursuing Doll, police said.

After the law arrived and took Lopez into custody, an officer reportedly patted the Rockdale man down to see if he had any more weapons. During the pat-down, Lopez turned around and punched the officer several times, police said.
Lopez was charged with aggravated battery, battery, aggravated assault and obstructing justice. He was taken to the Will County jail and his bond was set at $100,000.

After the cops carted Lopez away, an “upset” Doll turned on the two residents who called the law, police said. He allegedly shouted obscenities, claimed to be a member of a street gang and made threats. The residents reportedly told officers Doll has done this before but Friday night was the first time they told the police about it.
When officers again arrived, Doll reportedly jumped in a car and drove off. Will County deputies later took him into custody and he was charged with disorderly conduct. Doll was released on his own recognizance.
