JOLIET, IL — A 33-year-old Joliet man and two teenagers were captured by Joliet police during a house raid on the city's east side that recovered two rifles, one shotgun, three handguns, plus cash, cocaine and Fentanyl, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced in Friday's press release.
The criminal defendants include two new Will County Jail inmates: Darvez Parrott, 33, who faces charges of armed violence, four counts of unlawful use or possession of a weapon by a felon and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver.
Mekhi Carr, age 18, faces one count of unlawful possession of a machine gun and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. A 17-year-old minor was brought to the River Valley Justice Center because he had an outstanding Will County arrest warrant.

Joliet police raided the house in the 500 block of Pico Street at 8 a.m. Thursday, which is where both Parrott and Carr reside, their Will County Jail records show.
English said that one of the guns confiscated by Joliet police was modified to convert the handgun into an automatic weapon.

Ammunition for the weapons, cash and suspected cocaine and fentanyl were found inside as were Parrott, Carr and the 17-year-old juvenile. The juvenile had an active Will County arrest warrant for missing court on previous charges of criminal trespass to state supported property.
“The recovery of these firearms is a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to combat the proliferation of illegal weapons in our city, and I applaud the hard work of our officers involved in this potentially dangerous operation," Joliet Police Chief Bill Evans announced in the press release.
Evans also thanked the Will County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance in Thursday's house raid.
