Test Drive A Tesla At Kafe De Kasa On Valentine's Day

CREST HILL, IL —How does grabbing a cup of coffee and going for a ride to test drive a Tesla sound? On Monday, which is Valentine's Day, the Crest Hill Kafe De Kasa on Plainfield Road is partnering with Tesla from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"It's going to be a big event. Grab some coffee and test drive a Tesla," remarked Kafe De Kasa's owner Johnny. "Come check out the coolest and latest innovation."

On Monday, people can test drive two different electric vehicles manufactured by Tesla: a Model Y and a Model 3. As part of the Valentine's Day special, Kafe De Kasa is also giving "10 percent off every drink that day while Tesla is there," Johnny told Joliet Patch.

Tesla's website includes the following announcement: "Go anywhere with Model Y or Model 3 starting with a touchless demonstration drive at Kafé De Kasa on Valentine's Day in Crest Hill."

Johnny told Patch he has had a chance to test drive a Tesla before and "it's really a great experience. They're fantastic. It's not like a regular car."

The Tesla website advises people to "schedule your demonstration drive appointment, and a Tesla advisor will be available to answer any questions when you arrive."

Johnny told Patch that Tesla "prefers" people heading to the Kafe De Kasa at 2446 Plainfield Road for a test drive demonstration to RSVP on their website.

Johnny said he previously partnered with Tesla for a special promotion at his Kafe Du Monde coffeehouse in Bolingbrook on Schmidt Road. Now, he's bringing two Teslas closer to the Joliet area for test drive demonstrations on Valentine's Day.

Besides the red house where Kafe De Kasa operates in Crest Hill, Johnny also opened a Kafe De Kasa last summer in downtown Joliet on Ohio Street.

"And hopefully in a few months we can do this again at the Joliet location," he remarked.
