Theft At J&M Jewelers: Joliet Police Make Arrest

A 56-year-old Joliet resident, Edwin Roman, remains in the Will County Jail unable to post his $35,000 bail.

JOLIET, IL — A 56-year-old Joliet man is now in the Will County Jail after prosecutors say Edwin Roman stole watch batteries from the J&M Jewelers at 168 N. Chicago St. on Jan. 3. Bail was set at $35,000 for Roman, who lives in the 3700 block of Terrance Ferry Drive.

This week, prosecutors charged Roman with felony retail theft. Prosecutors informed the judge that Roman was convicted in 2019 of committing a burglary here in Will County.
