Two Men Shot Outside East Side Food Mart, Police Say
The victims told investigators that they did not know the men who shot them and didn't recognize the white car in which they were driving, Joliet police said.
Two men were shot Tuesday night as they left a convenience store at 2nd Avenue and Richards Street, Joliet Police Capt. Tab Jensen said.
The incident occurred at about 8:10 p.m. when a white car carrying at least two people fired a gun at the victims as they came out of the Adam & Joe Food Mart, 121 Richards St., Jensen said.
Both men were each struck in the arm, Jensen said. Friends drove them to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet for treatment of their wounds.
The victims said they did not known their assailants and could not tell if it was the driver or passenger who fired the gun, Jensen said.
