"Officers determined that Walmart staff observed Loyd conceal merchandise inside of her purse," Joliet police said. "Walmart staff followed Loyd to a self-service checkout where she purchased items but did not pay for the concealed items."

Eventually, the Walmart employees confronted Loyd "after passing the last point of sale without purchasing the concealed items. Officers placed Loyd into custody without incident and she was subsequently taken to the Will County Jail," police reports indicate.
