Will County Judge's Son Jailed on Felony Domestic Battery Charge For Alleged Brutal Beating of Fiancee
Will County cops reportedly arrested the son after finding him at his new job at the courthouse.

The son of a Will County judge was arrested Monday for allegedly, choking, kicking and beating his live-in girlfriend, and locking her in the trunk of a car.
Louis Goode, 29, the son of Judge Carla Alessio Policandriotes, was charged with aggravated domestic battery, unlawful restraint and domestic battery in connection with alleged attacks on his 28-year-old fiancée both Sunday night and Monday morning.
Goode and his fiancée reportedly argued over money Sunday night and went outside so as not to disturb his fiancee’s family, with whom they live on Barber Drive in Troy Township.

Goode threw his fiancée to the ground, kicked her, dragged her into the garage and ordered her into the trunk of their car, police said, and she “complied because she was in fear.”
Goode locked her in the trunk but let her out after a few minutes, police said, and the couple headed off to bed.

In the morning, Goode again attacked his fiancée, pulling her hair, kicking and choking her, police said. When she called 911, Goode allegedly tore the phone off the garage wall.
Goode’s mother arrived at some point after this, police said. She reportedly dropped by to drive her son to his new job as an office assistant at the courthouse. He started there Monday.
Goode and the fiancée were both in the garage when Judge Alessio Policandriotes arrived, police said.
Alessio Policandriotes got out of her car, ordered her son to get in the car, and drove off, police said.
A receptionist at the Will County Chief Judge’s office said Alessio Policandriotes had no comment to make about the case.
Detectives from the sheriff’s department, where Judge Alessio Policandriotes’ husband, Tony Policandriotes, works as an investigator, found Goode at the courthouse, police said. They brought him to the investigations division across the street, questioned him and placed him under arrest.
Held at the Will County jail, Goode appeared in bond court Tuesday afternoon. Will County Judge Roger Rickmon recused himself from the hearing.
“I’ve known Mr. Goode for at least 20 years,” Rickmon said. “He’s worked with both my sons.”
Judge Robert Livas stepped in for Rickmon and set Goode’s bond at $50,000, the minimum amount requested by special prosecutor Charles Colburn.
Colburn is handling his second prosecution of a Will County judge’s son in as many weeks. Last week, he oversaw a guilty plea to a heroin charge that landed the son of former Will County Chief Judge Rodney Lechwar in prison for three and a half years. A year before that, Colburn reduced charges and agreed to a deal that got Lechwar’s son, Matthew Lechwar, 32, out of prison in less than seven months. Before Colburn reduced the charges and gave the deal his blessing, Matthew Lechwar was looking at a possible sentence of 30 years in prison.
Colburn refused to discuss the Goode case after the bond hearing.
Goode has a forgery conviction out of Colorado and a drug conviction out of Missouri, Colburn told Judge Livas. He is still on probation for the Missouri case, Colburn said.
Goode was represented by Greg DeBord of the Will County Public Defender’s office. Judge Alessio Policandriotes’ daughter, Lauren Goode, is employed as an investigator with the public defender’s office.
DeBord asked Judge Livas to set Goode’s bond at $20,000. He also requested that Livas order Goode to be transported from the Will County jail to the Grundy County jail. Livas agreed.
Goode’s fiancée did not immediately respond to a message left at her home.
