Will County Weekend Police Blotter

The detainees come from New Lenox, Joliet, Bolingbrook and Lockport.

JOLIET, IL - The intakes at the Will County Adult Detention Facility were definitely on the upswing over the past week as court remained in session. However, several newcomers were also taken into custody by several Will County police departments. Here's a sampling of some of the newest detainees from the past two days.

Michael Schmitt, 29, 600 block of Florence Avenue, Joliet, arrested by Will County on felony charges of aggravated DUI-no insurance and charges of DUI, failure to render aid, being uninsured at the time of a crash and driving while uninsured.

Nicholas Vega, 22, homeless, arrested by Bolingbrook Police on charges of criminal trespass to building and two counts of resisting arrest.

John P. Jones, 56, 1200 block of Cleveland Street, Lockport, arrested by Romeoville Police on charges of driving while revoked or suspended and DUI.

James Blokel, 45, 1300 block of West Maple Road, New Lenox, arrested by Will County on charges of criminal damage to property.

Joseph Grillo, 28, Wilmington, arrested by Will County Sheriff's police on charges of domestic battery.

Johnnie Green, 36, 100 block of Joliet's 3rd Avenue, arrested by Joliet Police on felony charges of aggravated battery/great bodily harm and aggravated battery in a public place, two counts of being a felon in possession of a weapon and possession of drugs with intent to deliver. Green's bond was set at $1.25 million.

John Jarnagin, 55, homeless, arrested by Joliet Police on a felony offense of child luring and a parole violation. Jarnagin was just released from the Will County Jail on Jan. 10 after being picked on an arrest warrant earlier in the week. To read that Patch story, go here.
