Joliet police said Nicholas Rios, 28, pushed the victim down, causing the victim to strike her head on a nearby table.

JOLIET, IL — A 28-year-old man from the 400 block of Nicholson Street was arrested by Joliet police Tuesday night after officers say Nicholas Rios violently attacked a woman inside his house, choking her during the ordeal.
Around 10 p.m., police were called to the Rios house and hauled him away in handcuffs. He was booked into the Will County Jail on charges of aggravated domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
"During an argument, Rios grew angry and forcefully entered a bedroom where the victim was located," police spokesman Dwayne English announced. "Rios then pushed the victim down, causing the victim to strike her head on a nearby table."
