Woman With Gun At Riverwalk Homes Threatens Others: Cops
Tuesday morning's incident happened in the parking lot of Riverwalk Homes, 358 North Broadway St. Jasmine Johnson, 22, was arrested.

JOLIET, IL — A 22-year-old Joliet woman was arrested Tuesday morning following a gun incident in the parking lot of the Riverwalk Homes public housing complex. The property was called Evergreen Terrace for several years.
Jasmine Johnson was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and disorderly conduct. She was later released from custody on an I-bond, according to police reports.
Officers were called to 358 North Broadway Street at 9:48 a.m. for a parking lot disturbance.

"Officers determined that Johnson had threatened a group of other females while holding a handgun," police spokesman Dwayne English indicated. "During the course of the investigation, officers made the determination that Johnson had held a handgun but had not pointed it at anyone."
Police found Johnson inside her apartment and put her into custody without any problems, police reports indicate.

Officers recovered the handgun from her apartment, and Johnson possessed a valid FOID card at the time of this incident, English noted.
Tuesday's incident marked the second straight day that Joliet police were called to make an arrest at the Riverwalk Homes apartments. During Monday afternoon's parking lot fight, three people were arrested and a large crowd of people gathered nearby to watch the incident.
