Cars Burglarized In La Grange Neighborhood: Cops

All the targeted cars had one thing in common, police reports indicate.

LA GRANGE, IL – Unlocked cars were burglarized last week in a La Grange neighborhood, police said.

Other western suburbs have received similar reports, including Western Springs, Hinsdale, Darien and Elmhurst.

  • About $4 in change was stolen from an unlocked car in the 700 block of South Ashland Avenue. The report was filed last Thursday.
  • Two unlocked cars were searched overnight last Wednesday in the 500 block of South Waiola Avenue. Nothing was stolen or damaged.
  • A resident in the 400 block of South Ashland Avenue told police last Thursday that she found her car doors open and the contents of the glove box scattered inside the car. Her other car was in the same condition. Both cars had been parked unlocked. Nothing was stolen.
