Injured LTHS Student's Family Hires Lawyer
The student was seriously injured in a crash near the school last month.

LA GRANGE, IL – The family of a Lyons Township High School student severely injured in a crash next to North Campus last month has retained an attorney.
La Grange attorney G. Grant Dixon III announced that development in a news release Thursday.
After school May 10, the 17-year-old senior was struck by a Jeep as he was crossing Brainard Avenue near Burlington Avenue, Dixon said.

The student, whom Dixon did not name, suffered a serious brain injury, bleeding in the brain and a fractured jaw that required surgery, the lawyer said. He was admitted to intensive care at Loyola Hospital and has remained there for more than two weeks, undergoing extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation, according to the news release.
Dixon described the student as "bright and talented."

The teen "has shown incredible resilience in the face of this devastating accident," Dixon said. "The incident has had a significant impact on his life, and he continues to endure physical and emotional challenges as he strives to regain his health and resume a normal life."
Dixon said his firm's mission is to obtain the compensation that the student deserves, which will assist him in his recovery and future well-being.
A day after the incident, Patch obtained an internal email that Principal Jennifer Tyrrell sent to the school's staff about the crash. She said the student was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
Earlier this week, Police Chief Robert Wardlaw told Patch that the collision remains under "active" investigation, but he declined to give details.
