50-Year-Old Homeless Man Found Dead in Lake Forest Workshop
A medical emergency Thursday caused Jozef T. Cross to fall and hit his head on the concrete floor of where he worked.

Lake Forest, IL—A homeless man died Thursday after suffering a medical emergency and hitting his head on the concrete floor of where he works, according to Lake Forest police.
Jozef T. Cross, 50, was found dead Thursday, June 9, after emergency units responded to a report at about 10:11 a.m. of a man who had fallen down and was bleeding from the head at a workshop in the 800 block of North Western Avenue, police said in a statement released Friday.

An autopsy Friday determined that Cross "suffered a fatal medical emergency and struck his head when he fell to the concrete floor," the police release stated. The Lake County Coroner is still waiting for lab results to determine Cross' exact cause of death.
Cross, who was homeless, worked at the workshop and occasionally used the building "for lodging purposes," police said.

Police told the Daily North Shore that foul play was not involved.
