At the annual Wall of Fame induction ceremony, Krouse Rosenthal's husband recalled how Amy's creative writing was encouraged at LFHS. He said the school also helped arrange foreign language classes at Lake Forest College, according to the Lake Forester.

Krouse Rosenthal graduated LFHS in 1983 after growing up in Lake Forest and Northbrook. She went to college at Tufts University and later lived on the North Side of Chicago with her family.

The school's Alumni Wall of Fame committee decided to honor without knowing of her illness. The co-chair of the group told the Lake Forester she was informed Krouse Rosenthal had entered hospice and appreciated the distinction after sending a congratulatory email.

Friday's ceremony honored graduates who provide role models for LFHS students of today and included alumni presentations and a senior class assembly. In addition to Krouse Rosenthal, a medical doctor and sports coach were inducted.

Dr. Scott Zeller is a 1978 LFHS alumnus. He is a pioneer in the field of emergency psychiatry. He revolutionized historically coercive, inhumane care with collaborative, compassionate methods, improving outcomes, timeliness, safety, costs, and patient experience.

His innovative psychiatric ER models have been implemented worldwide. The World Health Organization utilizes his teaching videos.

Dr. Zeller has led US and Global Agitation Treatment initiatives, authored several textbooks, is former President, American Association of Emergency Psychiatry, and was awarded Holloman Career Achievement, Simanek Distinguished Service, and 2015 "US Mental Health Doctor of the Year" honors.

Thomas C. Myers, a 1966 graduate, was inducted for his time as a teacher as well as a football, baseball and basketball coach.

Myers attended Albion College, where he set a pass interception record in football and was named All-Conference 2nd Baseman in baseball.

After serving in the US Navy, Tom began coaching at the Lake Forest Recreation Center while also teaching and coaching football, basketball, and baseball at LFHS from 1976 until his retirement in 2010.

Each of these sports had winning records and won at least one Conference Championship. His 2003 Varsity Baseball team won 3rd place at the State Tournament. Myers has been inducted into the IHSA Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame and the Lake County High School Sports Hall of Fame. Since 2001, Myers has been a football coach at Lake Forest College.
