LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff police and Lake County court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Circuit Clerk of Courts. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
ARRESTS
A 37-year-old Streamwood man was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license after officers were called to the 400 block of Walnut Road for a report of a possibly intoxicated driver behind the wheel of a parked red SUV. Police found the man asleep with the motor running and charged him with driving with a revoked license and cited him for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and operating an insured motor vehicle.
Josue Diaz-Fulgencio, 27, of the 800 block of Lenox Avenue, Waukegan, was arrested around 2 p.m. on Sept. 12 following a traffic stop on Route 41 north of Deerpath Road. Police reported getting a driving complaint about a northbound white Nissan swerving all over the road. Officers intercepted the car and witnessed it break several traffic laws before pulling it over. Police reported seeing a small baggie of a white substance inside the wallet of the driver, Diaz-Fulgencio, when he opened it to look for his driver's license, which was not valid at the time of the stop. Following some field sobriety tests, he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and without a valid driver's license. Officers reported the white powder found in his wallet later tested positive for cocaine.
