LAKE BLUFF, IL — The following information comes from Lake Bluff police and court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Circuit Clerk of Courts. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS

Christopher A. Hall, 35, of the 3100 block of Vickie Lane, North Chicago, was arrested around 4:45 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 200 block of East Scranton Avenue and charged with felony drunken driving after police got a call that an Instacart delivery driver appeared to be intoxicated. Officers found the driver, Hall, who declined to perform sobriety tests. He was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated DUI with a suspended license, driving with a suspended license and issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol, operating a vehicle while using an electronic communication device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He pleaded not guilty on Nov. 11.

Rene N. Boyle, 50, of the 400 block of East Prospect Avenue, Lake Bluff, was arrested around 8 p.m. Aug. 27 at her home and charged with two counts of domestic battery. Officers were told she had consumed a bottle of wine and thrown various household items, striking a person who lived with her in the hand and causing injury. Police reported they made reasonable efforts to obtain her side of the story "to no avail" before placing her under arrest. She entered a negotiated plea of guilty on Sept. 20 in exchange for 12 months of supervision and prosecutors dropping a second count.

Michael E. McGlynn, 49, of the 600 block of North Waukegan Road, Lake Forest, was arrested around 7 p.m. Sept. 3 and charged with violation of an active order of protection after police determined he contacted people protected by the order several times in August and September, including sending the headline of an article regarding his arrest in April on DUI and firearms charges along with a profanity. Police reported McGlynn claimed his Apple account had been hacked. McGlynn pleaded guilty Nov. 22 in exchange for more than $1,000 in fines and fees. The same day, he entered a negotiated plea of guilty to aggravated driving under the influence in exchange for 18 months of probation and 180 days in county jail, according to court records.

Patrice O. Rich, 62, of the first block of West Blodgett Avenue, Lake Bluff, was arrested around 6 p.m. Sept. 22 at the scene of a traffic crash at the intersection of Green Bay and Rockland roads. Officers performed field sobriety tests and determined she was intoxicated after learning she had rear-ended another driver in her blue Subaru. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, unsafe tires and illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver after police found an open container of Mike's Hard Lemonade in the center console. Police did not report conducting a breath test, and Rich was not charged with DUI with a breath alcohol concentration above the legal limit. She pleaded not guilty on Oct. 9.

Ian J. Whitaker, 44, of the first block of East Washington Avenue, Lake Bluff, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 700 block of Oak Avenue on a warrant stemming from a charge of shoplifting in Cook County and also charged with theft after a neighbor reported he had stolen a package delivered to a front porch. Police reported Whitaker denied stealing the package and, according to a witness, appeared to have planted a package of purported marijuana "out of spite" after being confronted over the theft. According to court records, a bond forfeiture warrant was issued on Oct. 18 with judgement on the warrant due Dec. 2.

Jennifer M. Lee, 35, of the 200 block of West Arden Lane, Round Lake, was arrested around 8:30 p.m. Sept. 23 by officers investigating a two-car crash in the 400 block of Skokie Highway and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater and hit-and-run. Lee admitted driving on the wrong side of Route 41 and provided officers with an evolving account of her recent whereabouts and destination, according to police. Police reported she provided a breath sample indicating she had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system. She was also issued citations for improper lane usage — driving on the wrong side of a divided highway — and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. A pre-trial hearing is set for Dec. 20.

Maygen Ann Hall, 29, of the 2000 block of Forrestal Village Drive, North Chicago, was arrested around 2:15 a.m. Oct. 12 in the 300 block of Rockland Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid license after officers found her silver Nissan SUV parked at the shoulder. Police reported she admitted having four drinks and said she was coming from the Highwood pumpkin festival but was unable to complete balancing tests or provide a breath sample. She pleaded not guilty to both charges Nov. 8

Gerardo Figueroa, 20, of the 6000 block of 30th Avenue in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was arrested around 6:15 p.m. Nov. 3 on Route 41 near the northern limits of Lake Bluff and charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicating compound. Police reported getting a call about a Ford SUV that had left the road and struck a construction barrel on Route 41 around Park Avenue in Highland Park. An officer reported he failed each field sobriety test when performed. Figueroa reportedly told police he had smoked two blunts and consumed cough syrup before driving. Police also found cough syrup in the car, and prosecutors approved a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Figueroa was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and failure to signal. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 11.

Laura A. Minnis, 54, of the 300 block of Foss Court, Lake Bluff, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. Nov. 9 in the first block of East Sheridan Road and charged with driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater. She was also issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and improper lane usage after officers found she had crashed a silver Lincoln SUV into a tree at Sheridan Road and Sheridan Place. She provided blood and urine samples indicating she had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system. An arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 20.
