We have been serving the Lake Forest community for over 50 years and, today, are one of the most well-regarded early learning programs in the area. LAKE FOREST, IL - High school seniors from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff and Knollwood are eligible for up to three $2,000 college scholarship grants from The <a href="http://www.lakeforestlibrary.org/friends.html" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Friends of Lake Forest Library</a>. The library support group is sponsoring an essay contest that will run from Feb. 1 to April 1. Winners will "clearly demonstrate a passion for reading as shown through their extracurricular activities," according to a flyer. The scholarship began in 2003 as a way to "recognize students whose lives are enriched by reading." Those interested should submit an <a href="http://www.lakeforestlibrary.org/friends/scholarships" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">application</a>, 500-word essay and a letter of recommendation from a non-relative.
