Kindergarten Registration Open in District 67

Parents who live within the boundaries of Lake Forest School District 67 who have a child who will be 5 years of age by September 1, 2016 are invited to visit the District 67 website (www.lakeforestschools.org) to begin the enrollment process. Please click on the schools tab in the top bar, select your neighborhood school, and then click on the blue Kindergarten Pre-Registration button. You will be directed to a web page that explains the enrollment process for kindergarten at Lake Forest School District 67 for the 2016-17 school year.

Pre-Registration

The first step in the kindergarten enrollment process is to pre-register your student for kindergarten. This information will be imported into our student information system and will allow us to begin planning for the upcoming school year.

Lake Forest School District 67 offers two kindergarten program options, half-day or tuition-based extended-day, at all elementary schools. The half-day and extended-day programs cover the identical curriculum in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, wellness, technology, and information literacy. The extended-day program allows additional time for extended learning opportunities, subject area interactive experiences, and problem-solving projects.

During the pre-registration process, parents will indicate their kindergarten enrollment preference in either the half-day or extended-day program.

Kindergarten Information Night for Parents

Parents of incoming kindergarten students are invited to attend a Kindergarten Information Night on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Please attend the meeting at your neighborhood school: Cherokee School, 475 E. Cherokee Road; Everett School, 1111 Everett School Road; or Sheridan School, 1360 N. Sheridan Road.
