This spring Lake Forest Graduate School of Management welcomes Tim Kazurinsky, an American film and stage actor, screenwriter, and Second City and Saturday Night Live alumnus, for a lively, interactive conversation about how he built a successful career in the fiercely competitive, high stakes entertainment industry. Tim Kazurinsky is an American film, television, stage, and voice actor, and an award-winning screenwriter known for his tenure as both a writer and featured player on Saturday Night Live (1981-1984) and as Carl Sweetchuck in the Police Academy film series. This will be his first speaking engagement for an academic institution. He has shared the stage and screen with such luminaries as John Belushi, Robin Williams, Drew Barrymore, Larry David, Bill Murray, Christopher Reeve, Mary Gross, Danny DeVito, Eddie Murphy, George Wendt, Liza Minnelli, Jim Belushi, Lauren Bacall, Dan Aykroyd, Jane Seymour, Bobcat Goldthwait, Sharon Stone, Joe Piscopo, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Kazurinsky recently played the Wonderful Wizard of Oz in the first national touring company of Wicked and made his Broadway debut last year in the comedy, An Act Of God. His acting and screenwriting has been recognized with prestigious nominations from the Writer’s Guild of America Award, British Academy of Film and Television Award (BAFTA), and Joseph Jefferson Award.

In addition to his extensive work with The Second City, Kazurinsky’s television credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm, According to Jim, Still Standing, What About Joan and Married...With Children. He has appeared onstage in A Midsummer Night's Dream with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Hairspray at Drury Lane Theatre, and Northlight Theatre's The Odd Couple with George Wendt and Funnyman. As a voice actor, he has been heard in animation, hundreds of commercials, and episodes of The Twilight Zone Radio Dramas. He resides in Evanston, Illinois.
