Lake Forest High School Wins Scholastic Bowl Regional Championship

LAKE FOREST, IL — The Lake Forest High School Scholastic Bowl Team won the Class 2A regional championship held Monday at Fremd High School.

The Scouts defeated Glenbrook South, Prospect High School and Glenbrook North in the final match to capture the title. The final match was a nail-biter and the Blue and Gold had to come from behind for the victory.

The Lake Forest team was led by seniors Peter Allen, Alex Banta, Luc Foster, Julia Goeks, James Gretz and captain Sam Daly, ably assisted by juniors Jay Grieve, Will Anderson, Garrett Buccelli, Tiffany Duong, Evan Brown, Emmitt Winter, Blaise von Ohlen and Tim Haussermann.

The Scouts now advance to the IHSA Sectional Championship round on Saturday, March 11th.
