Lake Forest Man Stole Booze and Food From Store: Cops

Identity theft case from months ago results in arrest of Wisconsin man.

The following information is from the Lake Forest Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

FELONY IDENTITY THEFT

Michael M. Wyatt, 39, Pleasant Prairie, Wisc. was arrested for felony retail theft on July 29. In February police responded to a report of seven separate fraudulent electronic withdrawals from the victim’s bank account between October 2014 and March 2015. Detectives were able to track the withdrawals to Wyatt and obtained an arrest warrant for him on two counts of felony identity theft and one count of felony theft.

WARRANT ARREST

Oscar Salmeron-Ramirez, 20, Waukegan was charged with a warrant and consumption of alcohol by a minor at 10:26 p.m. on July 20. An officer located Salmeron‐Ramirez on foot, intoxicated, in the 700 block of west Deerpath. He was also found to have two outstanding arrest warrants from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office for public indecency and resisting arrest.

ILLEGAL DUMPING

Gabriela Soto, 46, Chicago was charged with illegal dumping at 9:47 a.m. on August 4. She was found to have dumped large amounts of construction debris in a private dumpster in the 500 block of North Western Avenue.

RETAIL THEFT

William A. Haberland, 56, 499 College Road was charged with retail theft at 7:20 p.m. on August 6. Police responded to a grocery store in the 800 block of a North Western Avenue for a reported shoplifting. Haberland was located nearby and found with alcohol and food taken from the store without paying.
