LFCDS Invites Families to Winter Fun Fest
Catch gingerbread-themed family fun at Lake Forest Country Day School on Sunday, January 13!

Lake Forest Country Day School invites area families to celebrate the winter season with activities, music, stories, and refreshments in the School’s Early Childhood Center (ECC) on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. This event is free and open to all area families with children ages 18 months-6 years old.
Based on the classic children’s folktale, “The Gingerbread Man,” guests will enjoy an afternoon of
adventures with stories, music, games, crafts, and refreshments. After a musical welcome with Golden Apple-recognized LFCDS music teacher Maria Hempen, ECC faculty will lead gingerbread-themed activities delivering science, fine arts, and literacy principles in innovative ways.
“Our Early Childhood program, which encompasses children age 2 through senior kindergarten, has enjoyed tremendous success in providing our youngest students with an engaging and nurturing introduction to the experiential learning environment that is the hallmark of the LFCDS experience,” said Sara Walsh, Director of the Early Childhood Center. “From our classrooms to the play-based delivery system of our rich curriculum, the LFCDS Early Childhood program is intentionally designed to inspire and encourage creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, and relationship building throughout each individual child’s day.”
