LFHS Students Attempting to Change the Kitchen Industry

Students on their way to becoming CEO's.

Lake Forest High School’s newest class, “Innovation Incubator”, is a combination of groundbreaking curriculum and teaching methods, culminating in one of the most innovative classroom experiences in the midwest. This class aims to give kids real life hands on learning by allowing students to build a business with the help of a mentor throughout the course of one school year.

Five students: Micaela Pasquesi, Nick Yehle, Erin Doherty, Tom Condon, and Zoe Panos have been working on an innovative new product for the last seven months. This product, called “Precise Pour”, is a faucet attachment that controls the flow of water, stopping the flow once the inputted amount has been dispensed. Any amount you’re looking to measure be it gallons, pints, cups, tablespoons, etc. Precise Pour will give you the perfect measurement the first time. These students are working with a company on the technology within the product and are developing a way for the device to measure many liquids, not just water, eliminating measuring cups altogether. The product will also filter water, eliminating any toxins, keeping your water clean and pure.
