Michael Miles, Former Kraft and Philip Morris CEO, Dies
Miles, 74, died in his Lake Forest Home, 'Crain's Chicago Business' reports.

Michael Miles, who led both Kraft and Philip Morris, died Sunday in his Lake Forest home from a tumor near the base of his skull that doctors could neither diagnose nor cure, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.
Miles helped lead Kraft during its 1988, $13 billion merger with Philip Morris, Crain’s reports. A year earlier he survived a white-water rafting accident in Canada that killed five other executives.
He served on numerous corporate boards, including American Airlines, Sears and Allstate, according to Business Week. He was a 1961 graduate of Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pamela, as well as his sister Margaret, two sons and five grandsons, according to an article in Gazebo News.
