New Yorker Stole a Silver Matchbox: Police

Lake Forest residents charged with driving while suspended, revoked.

The following information is from the Lake Forest Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

RETAIL THEFT

Hannah J. Kim, 22, New York, NY was arrested on a charge of retail theft at 7 a.m. on February 28 in the 200 block of East Westminster. On December 27, police responded to a retail shop in the 200 block of East Westminster for a report of shoplifting. A silver decorative matchbox valued at $126 was taken. Detectives reviewed security video at the store which showed Kim placing the item in her purse and leaving the store. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kim which was served on February 28.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED

Vladimir R. Simeroni, 27, 491 Beverly Place was stopped at Waukegan and Deerpath roads at 8:45 p.m. on February 23 and charged with driving while license revoked. Simeroni was taken into custody for driving on a revoked driver’s license when he was found in his car stopped in the intersection of Waukegan and Deerpath.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Jeffrey J. Cioni, 35, 1187 Telegraph Road was stopped at Western Avenue and Wisconsin at 5:07 p.m. on February 27 and charged with driving while license suspended. Cioni was taken into custody during a traffic stop when he was found to be driving on a suspended driver’s license.
