Pedestrian Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Lake Forest: Blotter
Getaway driver arrested; felon driving drunk found with firearm and extended magazine: Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Police Blotter

LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff police and Lake County court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Circuit Clerk of Courts. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Jessie J. Shinosky, 36, of the 1100 block of Muir Avenue, Lake Bluff, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 and charged with driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater after officers were dispatched to the Target, 975 Rockland Road. A witness told police that Shinosky had driven a damaged Kia with two flat tires to the store and a Target staffer reported she was sitting in the girls clothing section crying. Shinosky provided a sample indicating her breath alcohol concentration was 0.333, more than four times the legal limit.
Daisy A. Kisekka, 44, of the 1400 block of South Cora Street, Des Plaines, was charged with felony hit-and-run after police got a call that a car had struck a pedestrian in the 1000 block of Buena Road on the afternoon of Nov. 5, sending him to the hospital. Police reported that he provided a description of a dark gray BMW with a broken mirror. While leaving the scene, a lieutenant with the Lake Forest Fire Department noticed a car down the road matching the description of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian with Kisekka standing outside. She reportedly told officers she may have fallen asleep while driving and awoke after feeling an impact. Police said she noticed her mirror was missing from the dark gray BMW but claimed to believe she had struck a mailbox.

Alejandra A. Rivera-Guzman, 26, was arrested around 6 p.m. on Nov. 8 and charged with possession of burglary tools, obstruction of justice and driving without a license after officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Kathryn Lane by a 911 call from a homeowner who noticed three people trying to break into a house there. Arriving officers heard the trio talking and running in the woods behind the property, and after setting up a perimeter, officers were able to find a rented Ford SUV that appeared to be driving around the neighborhood to look for the would-be burglars. Officers pulled over the car and and found black ski masks, burglary tools and various forms of identification from Florida. Rivera-Guzman initially gave officers a false name.
Tristan C. Malone, 26, of the 8600 block of Drake Avenue, Skokie, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after officers found him asleep behind the wheel of a Ford Fusion on Route 41. Officers reported noticing fresh vomit on the driver's side door of the car and the driver himself. Police said he did not complete field sobriety tests and, after processing at the station, produced a sample indicating a breath alcohol concentration of 0.141.

Juan Miranda, 51, of the 6000 block of 25th Avenue, Kenosha, was arrested around 8 a.m. on Nov. 25 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after officers encountered a man urinating near a car parked over on the shoulder of Route 41 at Deerpath Road. Police reported Miranda appeared to be intoxicated and later produced a sample indicating a breath alcohol concentration of 0.169, more than twice the legal limit.
Blaise Von Ohlen, 21, of the 1300 block of West Deerpath Road, Lake Forest, was arrested around 1 a.m. on Nov. 28 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of cannabis following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Sheridan Road. Police reported that Von Ohlen made several traffic violations, smelled of alcohol and admitted to having recently drank alcohol at a bar in Libertyville. Officers said they also found a small bag of cannabis in his car.
Barron Mhoon, 49, of the 3100 block of Bethel Boulevard, Zion, was arrested around 4 a.m. on Dec. 5 following a traffic stop near the intersection of McCormick Road and Rockefeller Drive and charged with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and driving under the influence of alcohol. Police reported that Mhoon smelled of alcohol, was acting suspiciously during the traffic stop and admitted to having a gun in his front pocket. Officers also found a loaded extended magazine in the car. Police said Mhoon is a felon twice-incarcerated in Illinois state prisons and is forbidden from having a gun.
