Philip Hood Appointed to Lake Bluff School Board
2-year village resident was appointed to replace Christine Letchinger at special meeting.

Lake Bluff resident Philip R. Hood was appointed to the Lake Bluff School District 65 board of education during a special board meeting on Tuesday. He will replace Christine Letchinger, who resigned last month.
“My professional and personal background is grounded in service and committed to the development of resources and strategic operations which promote strong student achievement and best outcomes,”said Hood. “To this end, I believe that I can serve as a collaborative Board team member and effective steward of the District’s resources.”

Hood is currently Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations at Lake Forest College, where he leads a staff of 18 professionals who plan and develop relationships between the college and its constituents. He also serves as College Secretary to manage the quarterly meetings of the Board of Trustees.
He has held previous positions at the Mayo Clinic and the University of Illinois Foundation, among others.

Hood and his wife, Lorelee, are parents of two children in the Lake Bluff schools and have resided in the village for two years.
