Police: Lake Bluff Man Tried to Run Off After Hitting Parked Cars in Evanston
82-year-old Charles McKiel faces three charges, including disobeying police.

A Lake Bluff man was taken into custody late Monday after allegedly hitting a number of parked cars in the 1600 block of Central Street.
Evanston Now reports that 82-year-old Charles McKiel was driving a 1997 Jaguar when the incident occurred around 9 p.m. Monday. As he was talking to the Evanston police from inside a squad car, he got out of the car and returned to his vehicle to attempt to drive off - hitting the same cars he initially struck.
McKiel faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and disobeying police.
