Renovations Complete at Lake Bluff Middle School
Residents are welcome to celebrate the new school digs next week.

LAKE BLUFF, IL - A newly renovated and expanded Lake Bluff Middle School will be open to the public for a celebratory opening event next week.
Community members are welcome to attend the "inauguration" of the new 65,000-square-foot school that reopened last month at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
“Lake Bluff Middle School students are thrilled with their ‘new’ school and its vibrant, dynamic spaces for 21st Century education,” Lake Bluff Middle School Principal Nate Blackmer said.

According to a school news release, the event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the school’s new student plaza at 6:15 p.m., a reception and campus tours.
“Sneak Peek” structured, guided tours will be offered earlier in the day, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Improvements made during the recent renovation include an expanded library, an exterior plaza, new classrooms and art rooms.
"The Middle School renovation is a reflection of the Lake Bluff community's commitment to education, and the ability of individuals from all across this community to work together to achieve their shared goals. The community can be very proud of its new Middle School," said Dr. Jean Sophie, Lake Bluff superintendent of schools.
