Residents Criticize Proposed Lake Bluff Condo Project
The project would include 16 units in 2 buildings in the Block 3 area along Scranton Avenue.

Lake Bluff, IL—A group of residents, as well as some village officials, voiced their objections to a proposed condo project on Block 3 of the business district during a standing-room-only meeting of the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, the Daily North Shore reports.
The project would involve building two three-story buildings, each containing eight condo units, the report stated. These buildings would take up the block at Scranton, Oak, Evanston and North avenues, the report added.
More than 100 people attended Thursday's meeting, and there was even an overflow of attendees who watched the proceedings via TV across the street, according to the Daily North Shore.

Objections to the project, which is being developed by Roanoke Group, stem over the fact that it doesn't match the character of the area, the report stated.
Another public hearing on the project is set for 7 p.m. July 20.
