Woodlands Academy to Host Top Chef Event for Middle School Girls

Top Chef International allows 6th and 7th grade girls to experience other cultures by creating and then enjoying representative foods.

Top Chef International, an event allowing 6th and 7th grade girls from area schools to experience other cultures by creating and then enjoying representative foods, takes place Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart, 760 E. Westleigh Road, Lake Forest.

Participants will join Mr. Steve, the all-girls college preparatory high school’s chef, to cook some Italian dishes and, in the process, learn new skills to share with family and friends. As the event draws to a close, parents can join in sampling the dishes that their young chefs have prepared.

Online registrations for this free event are being accepted until Feb. 16. To register, or for more information, visit the school’s website: www.woodlandsacademy.org/top-chef-international. You also may contact Amy Perlick, Woodlands’ global education director, at aperlick@woodlandsacademy.org or call 847-234-4300.
