Enjoy an evening of student art and photography exhibits, along with musical performances by the Lake Forest school's choirs and orchestra.

Lake Forest, Ill. – An evening to enjoy student drawing, painting, ceramics and photography exhibits, along with Spring Concert performances by the school’s choirs and orchestra following the music department’s outstanding achievements at the recent WorldStrides OnStage Heritage Festival in Seattle, is in store at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart’s annual Fine Arts Evening. This end-of-the-year celebration of the arts, which is open to the public free of charge, takes place Friday, May 18, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the all-girls’ college-prep high school, 760 E. Westleigh Road, Lake Forest.
The evening begins with a student art exhibition and reception at 6 p.m. and includes the Spring Concert at 7 p.m.
The concert, in the Chapel of the Sacred Heart, will feature the music performed by the Microscope and Kaleidoscope choirs and Symphonic Orchestra at the Seattle competition April 21-23, plus more. The honors won by Woodlands Academy at this event include the coveted Sweepstakes/Total Program trophy for best music department based on the combined scores of all three of the school’s participating groups. It’s the third time in the last five years that Woodlands musicians have brought home this top prize from a WorldStrides OnStage Heritage Festival.
