• Lake Zurich man charged after driving onto shoulder, crashing into parked cars, leaving 2 pedestrians seriously injured near Gurnee (lakemchenryscanner.com) — A Lake Zurich man has been cited after state police say he veered onto the shoulder of I-94 near Gurnee and crashed into two parked cars, seriously injuring two pedestrians helping a disabled vehicle. The September 26 collision shut down multiple lanes for hours while investigators worked the scene and three people were taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center.
