The race will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4 during the Buffalo Grove Days celebration at Mike Rylko Park; the event's new location for 2016.
The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove’s is seeking both sponsors and those who would like to enter ducks in the exciting annual Duck Race, to be held on a new date at Buffalo Grove Days’ new location this year at Mike Rylko Park, 801 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove.
The race will kick off at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, and be located between the carnival and arts and crafts area. The race course itself has been enlarged and improved and will create an extra-exciting competition for ducks vying to place within the top four to win cash prizes of $1,500, $500, $250 and 10, $100 winners. Select participants will receive $5 gift cards from Culver's of Buffalo Grove.
“We are looking forward to putting a new spin on this popular fundraiser for the Buffalo Grove Rotary; we expect that the brand new location and day it will be held on will create more excitement and raise more money for the causes we support as an organization,” said Bill Donahue, the Duck Race committee chair.
